Data register of Mediamaisteri's marketing and sales systems.


4. Purpose for processing personal data

Personal data is used for purposes related to sales, marketing, direct marketing, profiling and targeting of marketing to customers, managing and developing customer relationships, and carrying out surveys and statistics.

The data subject has the right to deny direct marketing aimed at them.

The processing of personal data is based on the data subject's consent. Consent is requested when the person inputs their data into the register.


5. Data content of the register

Mediamaisteri's sales and marketing system stores the following:

  • email address
  • IP address of the data subject
  • user profile *
  • Mediamaisteri website usage data **

In addition, the register may contain the following information if the person has given consent to disclosure of the information:

  • first name
  • surname
  • address information
  • telephone number
  • the data subject’s company or other organisation
  • electronic liaisons with sales
  •  information on subscriptions to mailing lists

* The marketing system classifies the profile of the data subject, on the basis of which Mediamaisteri sales may contact the data subject.

** The website usage information includes visit information for the www.mediamaisteri.com website, such as which materials the data subject has downloaded, and which pages the data subject has visited.


6. Regular data sources

Information provided by the customer and information generated in connection with the service. The information is automatically saved in the register when the user leaves the information or in using the www.mediamaisteri.com service or other services owned or managed by Mediamaisteri Oy or its subsidiaries.


7. Regular disclosures of data

Information can be disclosed to authorities in statutory cases and to companies belonging to the same group within the limits permitted by law. The customer's contact information (name, address, telephone number) stored in the register is available to the seller of services or products for the Customer Service.


8. Transfer of data outside the EU or EEA

Data can be transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area within the limits permitted by law and in compliance with the necessary protective measures.


9. Protection principles of the register

The data is properly protected electronically, and physical access is limited and monitored. Use of the register is limited, and every user of the register has a personal user ID and password. Suitable protection measures are used so that personal data is safe from destruction, loss and illegal changes. Mediamaisteri's personnel and external persons acting on behalf of Mediamaisteri have the duty of confidentiality with regard to all customer information. Duty of confidentiality also continues after the work relationship has ended.


10. Rights of the data subject


Cancellation of consent

If we process your data on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time by notifying us by, for example, sending an email message to mikko.haiku@mediamaisteri.com.  

Access to data

You have the right to receive confirmation from us as to whether we are processing personal data concerning you and to know what personal data concerning you we are processing. In addition, you have the right to receive additional information about the basis of the processing of your personal data.

The right to have errors corrected

You have the right to request that we correct incorrect, outdated or otherwise incomplete personal data concerning you.

The right to refuse direct marketing

You can refuse the processing of your personal data for purposes of direct marketing.

The right to resist processing

If we process your personal data as based on the general interest or our legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data to the extent that there is no substantial reason for the processing that would override your rights, or the processing is not necessary to handle a legal claim. Please note that under these circumstances, we shall not likely be able to serve you any longer.

The right to limit processing

Under certain circumstances, you have the right to demand that we limit the handling of your personal data.

The right to have data transferred

If we have processed your data based on your consent or to fulfil a contract, you have the right to receive the data you have provided us electronically in a commonly used format so that the data can be transferred to another service provider.

11. How can I implement my rights?

You can implement your above-described rights by contacting us by, for example, sending an email message to mikko.haiku@mediamaisteri.com.

At the same time, we ask you to mention your name, address and telephone number, and to attach a copy of your passport, driving licence or other ID to your message, so that we can verify your identity. If you consider that the processing of your personal data is not in accordance with the law, you can also file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (data protection commissioner).
